About The Tasty Spoonful…

Hi there, I’m Brooke, foodie, home cook, mother and lover of all things seasonal and local. At some point in my wild and wonderful travels, I’ve been a forage instructor, a social media manager (for Ireland’s leading food magazine), a permaculture teacher, a naturopath, and a digital marketing strategist. I’ve lived in and traveled to many different countries and now I’m back here in Australia to settle in the place I call home, Perth.

I’m writing this blog because it’s my most cherished creative outlet. If it also inspires you to enjoy cooking and eating, that’s an added bonus. This journey began during Europe’s worst lockdown when Hugo and I were confined to our tiny one-bedroom apartment in Dublin, restricted to a 5km radius for a staggering 1.5 years. With little else to do but walk and cook, my job of constantly reading recipes sparked a newfound passion for culinary adventures. Though I had previously written a cookbook and a foraging manual, this period provided the perfect opportunity to fully immerse myself in the world of cooking.

My interest in all things culinary was solidified when, after 2.5 years of trying to start a family, we began fertility treatments. With my background as a naturopath/nutritionist, I naturally created an eating plan to ensure we had the best nutritional support. This plan evolved into a content calendar of recipes, because we like to keep things interesting, sure, why not?! So, for nearly four years now, the Beuzeboc family has been preparing and enjoying a new recipe almost every weekday – that’s around 800 recipes so far and counting!

This blog is a celebration of all the incredible recipes we’ve discovered and an opportunity to share the creations inspired by the new knowledge and techniques we’ve gained along the way. It’s also now the home of Rocking Rayu and hopefully a world more creative condiments as the brand evolves. I hope you find our recipes family-friendly, time-efficient, and, above all, delicious enough to make again and again. I also hope you’ll be curious enough to try our products new and upcoming. Thanks for taking the time to interact with us.

May your every spoonful be more nourishing and delicious than the last!

Brooke, Hugo & Oliver.
